NSW: Girl, 10, critical after being hit by four-wheel-drive

A 10-year-old girl is critically injured .. after being hit by a four-wheel-drive on
a school crossing on the New South Wales Central Coast.

Police say the girl was using a crossing controlled by traffic lights .. outside a
primary school in Toukley about 9.30 am .. when she was knocked down.

She's been taken to Wyong Hospital .. and police are interviewing the driver .. a man in his 40s.







Meanwhile .. a seven-year-old girl who was run over last night in the driveway of her
Blue Mountains home .. west of Sydney .. is in a serious but stable condition in Sydney
Children's Hospital.

She has suspected spinal injuries .. a dislocated hip and internal bleeding.
