Vic: Two die in road smash
MELBOURNE, Dec 12 AAP - Two men died when the car in which they were passengers ranoff the road and rolled down an embankment north-east of Melbourne overnight.
Police said the sedan carrying four people left the Mansfield-Woods Point Road, atJamieson, at about 10.50pm (AEDT).
The car then crashed through trees as it rolled down an embankment, police said.
Two died at the scene, while the male driver and another male passenger were takento nearby hospitals in a serious but stable condition.
The names of the two dead men, both aged in their 20s, have not been released.
The Victorian road toll stands at 367, 52 fewer than at the same time last year.
